Why it exists
Since 2022 Spain has changed the rules on rent updates repeatedly: a 2% cap for 2022–2023, a 3% cap for 2024, the IRAV limit from 2025, and a short-lived 2% cap in spring 2026. Most calculators online are in Spanish, and some apply rules that are no longer in force. This one shows every rule it applied and the law behind it.
How it works
The calculation runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is sent to a server. Index figures come from the National Statistics Institute (INE) and are refreshed every month after INE publishes the new IPC and IRAV.
Corrections
Rules and figures are checked against the BOE and INE, and corrections are published with the date.
